Biologists have taped, that poor quality of a semen and unsatisfactory ability to a fertilization at men are bound to low zinc level in their organism.

And here at men with the lowered ability to a fertilization essential difference in zinc maintenance between smoking and non-smoking took place.
Depression of concentration of zinc in an organism can lead to disturbance of development of a semen and, as consequence, to man's sterility. Men with preconditions to the lowered fecundity and smokers react to deficiency of zinc more acutely. Most likely, in its absence degree of negative influence of free radicals on an organism of the man increases, causing formation of a semen with the broken properties. It is necessary to notice also, that the low maintenance of zinc in nutrition is an appreciable risk factor of occurrence of idiopathic man's sterility
