Young cells leave cellular dust ...
Scientists of university Gotenburga (Sweden), working under the guidance of professor Thomas Nistryoma (Thomas Nyström), have deciphered the mechanism allowing worldly-wise maternal cells geminate from affiliated, not burdened load of damaged fibers, inevitably collecting in each cell in the course of its vital activity. It appears, daughter cells use functioning on a principle of the conveyor the structures providing moving of all morally and physically out-of-date albuminous molecules in a maternal cell. In result, after full unit from a maternal cell, the daughter cell appears completely free from Associateed with the years damages.
Earlier was considered, that these structures generated by fibers from fiber of an actin, provide an one-way traffic of fibers and cellular organellas from a maternal cell in the affiliated. Authors have shown, that the return movement providing transportation of damaged fibers in a maternal cell which in this case serves some kind of «the garbage container» is possible also.
(In a picture and on a videoclip - bright green albuminous units are transported from a young cell in larger maternal).
In the work authors have shown, that this transportation is carried out at the expense of mechanical forces of reduction actin fibers. They also have established, that correct formation of these fibers is impossible without normal functioning of gene SIR2 and its albuminous product involved in processes of ageing of an organism. Earlier works on yeast, hearts, fruit flies and fishes have shown, that rising of activity of gene SIR2 is capable to enlarge considerably life expectancy of an organism, and its damages accelerate ageing processes.
Professor Nistryom considers, that knowledge of the mechanism used by daughter cells for transportation of damaged fibers in maternal cells, can lay down in a basis of methods of treatment Associateed with the years the diseases caused by accumulation of damaged fibers possessing toxic properties. At the same time he underlines, that for today still absolutely obscurely how this information can be applied to mammals. He also notices, that at a following stage of work scientists should find out, whether cells of mammals use the similar mechanism at formation sexual and stem cells.
