The virus can cause a prostate cancer ...
The virus causing a leukaemia and tumours at animals, is found in prostate tumours. As it is supposed, it can cause and the prostate cancer, reports Reuters. The American scientists have found out a virus of a mouse leukosis (XMRV) in 27 % of tumours of a prostate in people. Conclusions of researchers can help at diagnostics of a cancer of a prostate and even to prevent it. Experts of University of Utah and the Colombian university in New York have analysed 233 malignant and 101 good-quality tumour. As a rule, the virus was found out in the first case.
Researchers yet do not know, how XMRV virus causes a prostate cancer. As a matter of fact, it is a usual retrovirus which copies a genetic code of the infected cell. However, already it is enough of it for cancer occurrence.
Participation of viruses (first of all a papilloma virus) in development of some kinds of a cancer has been opened rather recently. The vaccine from a papilloma virus is already developed.
