The Australian scientists have made unexpected opening: in most cases the liver cancer causes a protein which is developed by a liver.

For today the liver cancer is one of the most serious and difficult forms of oncologic disease.

The group of researchers of University of Queensland has found out earlier unknown form of a protein granulin, also known as a growth hormone, in a liver of fish of a flounder. The further researches have shown, that there is a similar protein and in an organism of more developed organisms, up to the person. Data about the scientific researches the Australian scientists have presented in last number of specialised magazine PLoS Medicine.
According to researchers, they managed for the first time to establish, that growth hormone can provoke pathogenic development of cells, that in some cases even conducts to occurrence of cancer cells. "As far as we know, it is the first pathogen type, cosecreted by granulin and working for a limit of that cell in which it has been framed", - doctor Alex Lukas, the principal of research speaks.

Also scientists have established, that pathogens frequently can contain in fish who is used in nutrition. "Together with fibers useful to an organism it is possible to bring in an organism and granulin pathogen", - speaks Lucas. That it has not occurred, researchers advise as more as possible carefully and in details to subject fish to a heat treatment before submitting it on a table.

"For example, in northern districts of Thailand to 8 million persons can be infected to pathogen data, about every sixth here risks to receive a progressing cancer of a liver and the cholic ducts, known as a cholangiocarcinoma", - speaks Lucas. As he said, in regions where fish is most popular, and it is many Asian countries, percent ill with a liver cancer almost at 10-15 time above, than on the average on the world.

The Australian scientists say, that conduct working out of new generation of the medicines, capable to destroy pathogens and to become some kind of a board before cancer diseases of a liver. According to doctor Lukasa to protect from similar illnesses follows first of all children as their immune systems it is yet capable to resist to pathogen data
