Research of the French scientists has shown, that the analysis of a plaintive liquid can become alternative of a lumbar puncture at multiple sclerosis diagnostics.

At clinically isolated syndrome suspicious on a multiple sclerosis, revealing oligoclonal immunoglobulins in a cerebrospinal liquid it is used for dissimination acknowledgement in space at disharmony of a picture to diagnostic criteria. However the lumbar puncture is invasive procedure that limits its application. Researchers from department of neurology of Catholic institute of the city of Lille, France studied conformity between presence oligoclonal immunoglobulins in a plaintive liquid and liquor. It has been shown, that at 69 patients from clinically isolated syndrome oligoclonal immunoglobulins it is taped in 63.8 %, and in a plaintive liquid at 42 % of patients. At all patients with oligoclonal immunoglobulins in a plaintive liquid have been taped oligoclonal immunoglobulins.
