nervous cellsRecently cells which can form new neurones of a cortex of a brain have been found out. Results of work of researchers have been published in magazine Nature Neuroscience.

Several years ago was considered, that neurogenesis process - formation of new cells in nervous system in an adult brain is impossible and affirmed, that nervous cells are not restored. However then brain sites where new nervous cells can be formed during a life have been opened. It, so-called GAMK-ERGICHESKY cells which for transfer of nervous impulse use gamma aminobutyric acid.

New research has shown, that in a forward brain of adult animals are regularly formed as well glutamatergic nervous cells which use a glutamate as the transmitter. Formation of new nervous cells observed in olfactory bulbs - the regions of a brain participating in sensations of smells. Also it is known, similar neurones play a key role in memory processes.

Scientists from Munich have shown on mice formation process glutamatergic cells from cells of-precursors in the damaged cortex of a brain. After migration in the damaged site of a brain cells-predecessors turned to mature neurones. Besides, cells-predecessors are capable to replace the neurones damaged owing to development neurodegenerative of diseases. Researchers намерены to find corresponding cells at people, and also methods of stimulation of replacement of the lost neurones of an adult brain new.

Let's remind, that neurodegenerative diseases, cause changes in structure of a nervous tissue, more often owing to dying off or damage of cells. Most known of them - Parkinson illness, an Alzheimer's disease and a multiple sclerosis.
