The scientific USA have found out for the first time a gene which is responsible for the general dependence on alcohol, tobacco and narcotics. Results of researches of group of scientists from Jelsky university have been published in scientific magazine Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Professor He Pin Chzhan (Heping Zhang) from school of public health has taped, that the same gene can be found at the people abusing, at least, two of six substances, causing dependence. These substances are nicotine, alcohol, marihuana, cocaine, opium and other kinds of narcotics. Researches were spent on a basis genome 3627 persons.

It was found out, that PKNOX2 more all is active at the American women having the European roots. This work, according to authors of article, underlines necessity of complex studying of such phenomenon, as alcoholic, narcotic and nicotinic dependence, despite efforts on studying of dependence on individual narcotic substances and stimulators. Earlier scientific taped only the genes which are responsible for any bad habits separately.
