The artificial menopause caused by the termination of function of ovaries owing to an operative measure, almost twice enlarges risk of development of a cancer of lungs at young women.Scientists from University of Montreal (Canada) believe, that risks increase because of early and sudden reduction of level of estrogen or long-term use hormonesubstitutable therapies.
Experts investigated 999 patients of the Montreal clinics in which number there were 442 women with a cancer of lungs. They have analysed such data, as the socially-demographic information, a residence, work, a case history, presence of bad habits (smoking), and also data about a menses and pregnancies.
The most detailed information has been collected about smoking of patients as this fatal predilection is a principal cause of occurrence of a cancer of lungs. Besides, at smokers estrogen level is frequently lowered, that too enlarges risk of development of an illness.
Research has shown, that the big role in occurrence of a cancer of lungs, besides smoking, play other factors which strengthen negative influence of tobacco carcinogens. In particular, this change of a hormonal background resulting an artificial menopause.
