Finasteride (Finpecia) is used for treating men with an enlarged prostate and signs of benign prostatic hyperplasia. The medicine helps to prevent falling out the hair and regrow it in case of male pattern hair loss.

Its mechanism is based on transformation of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which in its turn influences hair loss directly and is thought to be one of the reasons of developing benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Finpecia Dosage and Taking
Keep to the recommendations of your physician or take a tablet each day (possibly with the meal).
Please be aware that Finpecia is intended for regular taking. A minimum course comprises three months for results to become evident. In case the course was not finished, your newly gained hair may be lost.

Skipped Finpecia Dose
If you failed to take Finpecia and if you take it regularly, do it as soon as you will be able to. If it is nearly the time for the next dose, just forget it and keep to your regular scheme. Double dose is not recommended and will not make the medicine more effective.

Storage
